Visit to the Ma On Shan Water Treatment Plant

35 of the S3 students visited the Ma On Shan Water Treatment Plant on 23rd October,2007. The visit was arranged by the Chemistry Department to encourage students to learn about the physical and chemical processes involved in the treatment of water for domestic use. Students were not only amazed at the technology involved, but also impressed by the huge-sized sedimentation and clarifying tanks. Students learnt by gaining on-site experience and nurtured the attitude of life-long learning.
