Life-wide Learning Project Work on ‘A Comparative Study on Chinese and Japanese Tea

The activity was organized with a view to enhancing students’ awareness of learning beyond the classroom, broadening their horizons and cultivating among them a greater sense of sisterhood through a yearlong collaborative research work on the issue of tea culture. The team, comprising 28 students from S.3, S.4 & S.6 and 3 teachers, set off for Japan and Shenzhen in Oct and Nov respectively. Areas of investigation include characteristics of their tea ceremonies, their historical origins and developments, as well as their health values. Reflections from the participants reveal that the research work is indeed a worthwhile endeavour
